TASK

A7: Character Boards Presentation
We are required to compile the critical designs from Task 1 to Task 3 into presentation boards. I've decided to incorporate design elements from Genshin Impact interface into my presentation board to reflect the theme.

i) Research

'Interface In Game' and 'Game UI Database' are websites like Pinterest except for a collection of video game interfaces and screenshots. It allowed me to quickly understand the essence and colour palette commonly found in Genshin Impact without needing to download the game.

ii) Design Progress
The motivation for designing the presentation board was actually bad. Since it was already Week 15, I ran out of energy to put a decent effort into the board, plus it requires more graphic design skill to pull it off, which I always find uninterested and difficult (also the reason why I am in Entertainment Design instead).  As you can see, the top image was my first attempt and I wanted to settle on that for the sake of completing Task 4 quickly, but then my Graphic Design friend is triggered by the lack of thought. Being a people pleaser, I felt bad for harming her eyes. With much of her guidance and encouragement, we worked out a better design as seen in the bottom image.

REFLECTION

I am satisfied with how the presentation board improved from my first design. Despite knowing more could have been done to make the board look more well-designed, at least the outcome is something I could showcase without feeling embarrassed. I am thankful that my friend was patient in dealing with my constant ranting about how she should have just let me be, instead of pushing me to do better with my presentation board and stopping me from giving up on myself. Thankfully, I managed to persevere and complete the presentation board just in time for submission.
