TASK

Interior Sketches
After collecting references from classic cars and steampunk knobs, I tried to do the perspective from my imagination to have this slight fish-eye lens view to showcase as many components as I can. I was a bit uncertain should I just limit myself within the seats of the interior or not but after feedback, I was encouraged to elaborate the details to the sides and top as well.

Angle variety
This is one of the few moments where I drew extra because I genuinely wanted to showcase the other parts of the design. I think I will only do my interior design justice if I show the back of the seats too because there are fun elements to look at.

Props

I had fun doing the storage box as I got to demonstrate how the function works. Despite having to draw a little more (It matters as I am working on a tight scedule), I think it was really worth the time and extra effort to have a  nice collection of props.

FEEDBACK

Week 13
- more slight shine on the leather chairs
- deepen the cavity in chair
- play with more cascading with the walkie-talkie

Week 12
- Get key shadows with multiply layer first
- Windshield can be lighter since it is transparent
- Then use screen layer to get the big highlights
- For the interior view maybe the seat can be sinking in more, look at bucket seat
- For the base colour, after finish greyscale then slap it on
- For props give 3 polished ones
- For Project 2 add highlights
- For Final Project add texture and compile nicely

REFLECTION

I realised when it comes to designing the vehicle's interior and props, I forgot about aspects such as layerings, panellings and cascading. The designs were a tad flat which could definitely be improved in the polishing stage in Final Project. One of the reason could be I was so focused on learning how to make a drawing of the interior and couldn't think of the extra aspects at the same time. It is just the common experience of a beginner artist in doing vehicle designs but now I am aware of the areas for improvement after this project.
