- List down 3 favourite graphic design composition work from Pinterest. Explain the reason for liking the designs.
BEZIER GAME
It was frustrating at first because I was not familiar with the tool.
However, I got the hang of it afterwards, and I still hate using it HAH.
My friends are quite competitive at this game as they kept trying to
break their personal records by redoing again.
PINTEREST BOARD
We are required to search for designs that have captured our attention.
This is to allow Mr. Fauzi understands what are our respective preferred
art style so he knows which direction to assist us in our own designs in
the future.
Design #1
I have always admired the modern cyberpunk aesthetics and game design
for all Watch Dogs series which incorporates grungy and techy
cyberspace elements. There are so many more amazing and captivating
designs of graffiti, character art and posters with a dystopian theme
and gritty feeling shown in the game's art book - The Art of Watch
Dogs. In terms of design-wise in this poster, I think it is very
difficult to achieve the level of complexity and chaos while making
sure the composition is readable, which is why it is impressive to
me.
Design #2
I am also a sucker for film posters. The composition, perspective,
everything -- can be so different from each other yet they hold their
own interesting point. For this, I really like the horizontal lines to
express a sense of dynamic as well as using a limited colour palette
to strike a bold impression in the viewer's mind. The visual impact it
gave me is more straightforward but effective.
Design #3
I rarely pay attention to album cover designs but this definitely
caught my attention because of the combination of similarity and
variation. The arrangement of the side profiles, the structure of the
composition, the character designs and colours that are different from
each other yet they feel like they belong together under the same theme.
I do enjoy looking at more simplistic and organised designs too when I
hope to take a break from looking at more complex designs like the other
two examples shown above.

REFLECTION
The Bezier game allowed me to understand using the tool more in a fun
(but torturing) game. I think it does a good job of introducing the tool
to students like me who want to learn about something but is too lazy to
search for a tutorial on Youtube. It also provided me with a chance to
get to know other new friends when helping them out with certain
levels.
