REFLECTION
I managed to discover and understand my writing flaws better in this task. I realised I have an enormous writing block when it comes to writing a critical review. The difficult part is to summarise a huge chunk of info while making sure to relay crucial parts too. The task definitely helps to improve my organisation skills and vocabulary skills as I have to explain the points in each paper in an objective manner.
After completing the critical review of the 5 articles, compiling them is a straightforward process as I now have an overview of all 5 research papers. Due to the well-planned headings and notes, the similarities and differences between the articles are clear. To prevent just combining them block by block in a rigid way, I used linking phrases and words to illustrate the connection and contrast between each article.
This task has taught me the importance of planning and jotting down notes for each article as it facilitates the complex writing process in the later stage. Being diligent in the early stage helps to lessen the burden of dealing with long paragraphs of words in the articles.
