1) Subheadings – break it up, make it easy to navigate.
2) Colour coding – perhaps a colour key to easily recall information?
3) Cross referencing – keep everything connected.
4) Only essential quotations.
5) Use footnotes and comments
6) Bibliography as well as works cited.
Concluding the review
- What are the major trends and who are the main contributors?
- What gaps do you feel can be exploited or require more analysis
- Can you contribute?
- Is the review worth continuing and updating or are you happy that any further research would require a wholly new approach?

REFLECTION
There are plentiful guidelines to help us kickstart our dissertation draft which is a good thing. I mainly worked on inputing the information I had from my previous research paper into the skeleton of the dissertation. It would have been beneficial learning about literature review matrix excel sheet when I was working on my critical review as I think that pairing the Excel sheets concept with Mendeley would have boosted my efficiency in working on my critical review. I have learned that using Excel sheets can boost my understanding when dealing with large chunks of information.
